Issued by the U.S. Postal Service on September 7th, 1948, these stamps pay tribute to Clara Barton, the Civil War "Angel of the Battlefield", who established the American Red Cross in 1881.
Please note that the sheet pictured is a stock scan. The sheet you will receive has full, unmarked, selvage (including corners) and undisturbed original gum.  It's guaranteed to be just as fresh as when it was purchased in a post office 73 years ago.
It would look especially nice framed (with selvage, it measures approximately 10 1/4 by 9 inches) and would make a great gift.
